At East Side Elders, we understand the joys – and challenges – of caring for a loved one. Sometimes it’s hard to get everything done – get the kids off to school, feed the pets, and get to work on time. It can be hard to make time to just take an afternoon walk or head to the gym to de-stress. Simply looking after yourself while you take care of someone else can be difficult.
As part of our programming, we offer Friendly Visits to help caregivers and their loved ones spend quality time together – and apart – knowing that the senior is safe and cared for. Our volunteer drivers can make sure that your mom or dad get to doctor’s appointments on time and get home safely. Our volunteers can even go grocery shopping for seniors who don’t want to make a trip to the store!
